Day in Duluth MN

15 Sept 15 was quite a day.  After being on the road for over two weeks, Jenn, Angus, and I headed to Duluth MN while our kids stayed in with relatives near the Twin Cities (the kids finally didn’t have to travel for 4 days straight!).  Although our getaway was for Jenn’s birthday, we still took time to visit four churches.  Breakfast with the Mt Olive bible study was a good opportunity to hear God’s Word and for fellowship.  We briefly visited with the Ladies sewing group and Pastor Schoessow at Christ Lutheran and met a gentleman who spent 15 years in the merchant marine after 20 years in the Air Force.  At St Matthew’s we had a welcomed surprise in meeting Pastors Walther and Brinkley, the latter whom had spent a number of years in west Africa and had a wealth of knowledge to pass on. At their recommendation, we visited Peace in Christ in Hermantown where I met a kindred Packer fan in Pastor Ludwig.  We did finish the day with a birthday dinner for Jenn.  We will both miss Duluth and look forward to visiting again soon the many new friends and the lakeside scenery.  Attached is a brief video to remind us of the sights and sounds of the lake when we travel to Africa.
