This morning, as every morning of orientation, we had family prayer to start off our day. We try and all go to the chapel here as a family. This morning Angus wasn't quite ready for chapel, morning snack time was more his pace. Jenn sat outside in the hall with him while all the rest of those in Missionary training went into the chapel.
As parents it is extremely common that one or the other of us will have to miss all or part of a service.
Even with chapel three times a day right now during the orientation while we were in training it is sad when we do need to miss.
This morning as Jenn was sitting outside the chapel she heard the hymn coming wafting out of the chapel. Lord Keep Us Steadfast in Your Word. What a beautiful hymn! What a way to start the day!
What a comfort to be able to sing along with the church as they sang
O Comforter of priceless worth,
Send peace and unity on earth;
Support us in our final strife
And lead us out of death to life.
